"Tut" game, Tutankhamun-related

  • "Tut" boxed game containing:
    • 1 wood three-tiered tower
    • 28 counters: 4 squidgers (1 of each: blue, red, white, yellow) and 24 winks (5 blue, 6 red, 7 white, 6 yellow)
    • Printed instruction sheet

Belt buckle

  • A ladies' round belt buckle.
  • Moulded decoration, design features a selection of objects from the Antechamber.
  • Dark and light brown bakelite, goldtone metal fastenings, and also three sets of two holes along edge, for attaching to fabric(?).
  • Date not known, probably produced in the 1920s or 1930s.
  • Manufacturer, not known. Metal stud fastening stamped "К I И".

Brooch-pendant depicting guardian statues and cartouches

  • Pendant-brooch (can be worn as either).
  • Costume jewellery, goldtone metal, oval, with stamped (embossed) design.
  • Design: two 'guardian statues' [Carter 22], Tutankhamun's cartouches, and winged scarabs.
  • Produced by "Miracle" (branded on the underside).
  • Date uncertain but certainly manufactured post-1946.

Cigarette tin: Nestor Gianaclis "Toutankhamon"

  • Cigarette tin.
  • Produced by "Nestor Gianaclis, Grande Manufacture de Cigarettes Egyptiennes".
  • Branded "Toutankhamon".
  • Transfer(?) print decoration, with ancient Egyptian motifs including a scene of Anubis kneeling before the king.
  • Probably manufactured in the 1920s.

King Tut's Pyramid Puzzle

  • Wood puzzle comprising four coloured blocks, which when correctly assembled form a pyramid shape.
  • Produced by Imperial Manufacturers, Chicago.

  • White glazed porcelain with transfer print decoration.
  • English heraldic souvenir ware; crested china; English crested ware.
  • Coat of arm for Hinckley (Somerset) on front.
  • Text on foot of cup, at front: "Model of king's wishing cup found in king Tut-Ankh-Amen's tomb at Luxor".
  • Manufacturer stamp on base: "Arcadian – Stoke-on-Trent – Registered Number 678582".
  • Date uncertain, produced in the 1920s or 1930s.

  • Gold-tone metal with enamel decoration
  • Enamel decoration on upper surface, design from top: on handle, a modelled profile view of 'guardian statue' [Carter 22] (design includes the linen found draped over arm when discovered), standing on top of a winged scarab; on stem, geometric pattern on handle; on bowl, enamel-painted scene with a king or deity facing left, standing holding a staff, with pseudo-hieroglyphic texts above.
