The reel-to-reel tape was used to record the original broadcast from the radio by Dr Rosalind Janssen in 1972. This recording was copied onto a cassette tape in 2023.

Dr Rosalind Janssen presented both tape recordings in July 2023.

A reel-to-reel tape recording, and a cassette tape of the same, of a BBC radio broadcast on the 1972 Tutankhamun exhibition at the British Museum.

Property of the Griffith Institute.
The recording on both tapes is not accessible at present. A reel-to-reel machine and cassette recorder would be required to listen to the recording.
