The original envelope containing this group annotated by Carter 'Inscriptions upon pithoi found Biban El Maluke (some of the pithoi were bound with linen others sealed with impressions of the seal "jackal over Nine Prisoners"). (? late XVIIIth). Taken by Winlock fr. N.Y. Museum.' Not clear whether 'taken' applies to the tracings, photograph, or both.
