The scene is set in a desert campsite, perhaps fictional, in Egypt, with a man standing with three camels in the background. The drawing this lithograph was based on was created by É. Prisse d'Avennes sometime between 1843 and 1848:

The solar disk, emerging above the horizon of the mountains, is held by the arms of Nut and those of a personified ankh, with a dressed personified djad pillar supporting the whole group; this central group is adored by four baboons, kneeling Isis and Nephthys and two ba-birds, from a painted wall scene in the Ramesside tomb of Nefersekheru (TT 296), at El-Khokha in Thebes:
