Histoire archivistique

Collection given to E. Lüddeckens (Mainz), the editor of the Demotisches Namenbuch (see Jahrbuch 1952 of the Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Literatur, Wiesbaden, p. 74). Following Lüddeckens' appointment as Professor at the Universität Würzburg in 1964, the project was moved there, and the collection with it. Later G. Wittmann of the Würzburg Demotisches Namenbuch donated it to S. P. Vleeming (Universität Trier).
