This material was sent to the Griffith Institute by Mr. Walter Hauser from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York in 1955.

Howard Carter's notebook of hieratic palaeographic notes on individual signs, groups, royal names and a few longer texts, with hieroglyphic transcriptions.
Perhaps compiled during Carter's excavations and explorations (graffiti and inscribed objects).
