This material was sent to the Griffith Institute by Mr Walter Hauser from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, in 1955.

Howard Carter's photographs show the excavations in progress, Carnarvon-Carter excavations in the vicinity of the Causeway of the Great Temple and Valley Temple of Hatshepsut, Deir el-Bahri (Deir el-Bahari), Thebes.
