The photocopies were made on thermal paper in the late 1960s or 1970s which has subsequently deteriorated, some of the photocopies are now quite faded.

Label on the original housing: "The original notebook was found in 1968 at University College, London and is now kept there. Negatives and a corrected set of positives made from the notebook are in the Department of Antiquities, University College, London."
