British Coptologist. Born, Bonn 1923. Died, Charlbury, Oxon 1955. Lady Wallis Budge Fellow, University College, at the time of his death. MA. D.Phil. Published material relating to the monastery of Deir el-Balaizah.

In possession of his father, Professor P. Kahle, who presented the material in 1960.

Professor P. Kahle in 1960 (Kahle MSS 1/1-33, 2/1-12 & 16-18 and 3/1-3).
Group of copies and notes on New Testament Faiyumic Texts (Kahle MSS 2/13) presented by Professor R. McL. Wilson on 22/07/2009. Two typescripts (Kahle MSS 2/14-15) transferred from the Bodleian Art, Archaeology and Ancient World Library (formerly Sackler Library) on 24/06/2014 after being found in one of the library books.
