Dahshur. South Pyramid (Bent Pyramid) of Snofru (Snefru).
Caption reads:
'Side of doorway of South pyramid of Dahshûr.
Shewing pivot hole on which the flapdoor turned [drawing].
This explains Strabo's saying the Gt Pyramid
was closed by a stone which could be taken out.'

There is also a diagram showing 'door open'.

'In Pyramid of Pepi, part of 478.
In the wall is built in, as a common stone, a slab with clumsy
figures on it, badly colored; this is the only known example
of aprentice's practise, of which so much was required.'

'Block with name and titles of Xemten [x:mt:t:n], and cartouches
of [<-W9-E11-x-w-f->]. After this was graved, it was rejected,
rebuilt in upside down & face inwards, and a wider-
-spread inscription put on the out side.'
