British Egyptologist and poet; he was born in Cambridge, 26 Dec. 1942; he studied at Dulwich and Oxford University but did not complete his degree; he later worked as a pharmacologist; he had a great interest in Egyptian religion especially the worship of Anubis; he founded Darengo Publications which produced his own works; he published Anubis and the Spirits of the West, 1990; A Coptic Initiatory Invocation, 1991; Jackal at Shaman's Gate, 1991; At the Court of Osiris. Book of the Dead Spell 194 - A Rare Egyptian Judgement Text, 1994; Black and Gold God, 1996; The Jackal Divinities of Egypt I. From the Archaic Period to Dynasty X, 2005; with others, Anubis, Upwawet, and Other Deities. Personal Worship and Official Religion in Ancient Egypt; The Slakhana Trove: Votive Stelae and Other Objects from Asyut, 2009; his papers are in the Griffith Institute, Oxford; he died in Croydon, 17 April 2014.
