The subtance is marble - a circumstance of very rare occurrence for a monument of this kind. Another is perhaps not in the Kingdom. Size, length 2ft, 5in, breadth 1ft. 11, thickness 10 inches. It forms part of the extensive and choice Egyptian collections in the possession of J. Sams. 1837.' (ink note)
