This material was sent to the Griffith Institute by Mr Walter Hauser from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, in 1955.

Howard Carter's photograph of the lion-hunt ostracon, found during Carnarvon excavations in the Valley of the Kings, Thebes. The ostracon was found in 1920, near the, yet to be discovered, entrance to the tomb of Tutankhamun, KV 62, is now in New York, Metropolitan Museum of Art, 26.7.1453.
