Giza (Gîza). Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops). Caption reads: 'North West corner socket of the Great Pyramid. The block of stone fallen down on the socket, often called a "corner stone", had no connection with it originally.'

Giza (Gîza). West Field, tomb G 5210, Khemetnu (Khemtnu). Caption reads: 'Block with name and titles of Xemten [x:mt:t:n], and cartouches of [<-W9-E11-x-w-f->]. After this was graved, it was rejected, rebuilt in upside down & face inwards, and a wider- -spread inscription put on the out side.'
Hawara. Pyramid of Amenemhet III. Caption reads: 'Great limestone pavement in two layers. This ran under the great ruins (of the Labyrinth?) on the S. of the pyramid. Now being destroyed by engineers.'
